"When I first started working out, I was killing myself at the gym. I would go crazy doing cardio: spinning and step classes, tons of running on the treadmill and hours on the elliptical machine. At home, I'd be starving myself to lose weight. And I did! But what I found was an unhealthy, skinny version of myself...I had next to zero muscle tone and my body proportions were totally unbalanced.

Natalie taught me the A-Z value of nutrition, as it relates to a high-burning metabolism. Yet, I had all of the protein and nutrients I required to build lean muscle mass. She worked closely with me for two years in the gym, and she transformed my body through a constant variety of work-outs... centered mainly on free weights, core training and body-weight exercises, usually within supser sets.

Suddenly, everyone started to ask "when" I would compete in figure! Me! Now, my genetics are NOT naturally pre-disposed toward the typical body structure required by the competition circuit. My physique was only made possible by following Natalie's advice and guidance...and by putting in all the hard work she required of me (not to mention stage presentation lessons). In summer 2008, I competed in my first provincial show, which was definitely a dream come true.
