HISTORY

Natalie Waples grew up in Northern Ontario, Canada, where she remained until graduating from high school. At age 18, she moved to Canada’s Capital, Ottawa, to pursue her post-secondary education. She graduated from the University of Ottawa with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree, and today works as a Human Resources Professional.

Natalie has always been active in sports, and got involved in pageant-type modeling when she was in her early teens. After attending the Gauvreau School of Performing Arts modeling program she entered her first pageant. From then on, she competed in pageants at the regional, provincial, national and international level. These various competitions allowed her to develop her skills in both stage presentation and public speaking, and also introduced her to the world of modeling.

In 2005 Natalie entered her first fitness modeling competition and placed 3rd out of a competitive field of 46 entrants. From there she decided to enter the world of Figure and won regional, provincial and national titles in Canada, which translated into numerous modeling and traveling opportunities, and eventually an IFBB Pro Card win at the 2008 IFBB North American Figure Championships in Cleveland, OH. This was a huge accomplishment for Natalie as this particular competition boasted over 120 competitors from Canada, the Unites States, and Mexico, across a total of 6 height classes. Natalie won both her height class and then took home one of two pro cards which were awarded that evening.

As a proponent for natural, healthy athleticism, winning an IFBB Pro Card has allowed Natalie the opportunity to compete amongst the best in Figure, showcasing a fit, balanced physique. In 2009, 2010 and 2011 she was ranked as Canada’s top IFBB Figure Pro and also represented Canada at the 2011 Ms Figure Olympia in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she competed against the best IFBB Figure Professionals in the world. She promotes a balanced training regime, focused on hitting all the major muscle groups on a weekly basis, and changing things up regularly to shock the body and produce results.

Natalie is partnered with Canada’s premiere supplement company, Nutrabolics®, as a sponsored athlete and spokesmodel. This Canadian-based company produces some of the most cutting-edging supplements on the market. Natalie has been featured in ad campaigns for Nutrabolics® in well-known fitness magazines such as Oxygen and Muscle & Fitness Hers. In addition, Natalie is also a sponsored athlete and spokesmodel for the Sunlove Athletics clothing company.

Natalie has translated her experiences into several ventures including a personal training and nutritional consulting business. She is also affiliated with several provincial associations for Figure, Fitness, Bikini and Bodybuilding. Her goal is to inspire others and motivate others to live a healthy and fit lifestyle, through example. Natalie believes in attaining a healthy and fit physique through a combination of balanced nutrition, a solid wellness program, and a challenging training regime.
